Blaine County Sheriff’s Office – March 6, 2021

WATONGA, OKLAHOMA – on 3/5/2021, Deputies with the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) served a search warrant on a property located in Southwestern Blaine County.  Probable cause for the search warrant was obtained through investigations by deputies over multiple avenues of information.  

Sheriff, Travis Daugherty and several of his deputies arrived on scene late afternoon on the 5th.  A thorough search was completed of the areas detailed on the search warrant.  Upon completion, a sizeable amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine (pending confirmation from lab), an illegally owned firearm, and multiple types of drug paraphernalia were seized by deputies.

Alan Jeffery Nuzum, a 63 year old male, out of Geary was arrested on scene.  Nuzum is charged with maintaining a dwelling for use and sale of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm after felony conviction and use of a firearm or other offensive weapon while committing or attempting to commit a felony, second and subsequent offense.

A second individual on scene was arrested who had existing warrants out of Geary and Beckham County for drug charges and destruction of city property.

Both suspects were arrested, transported and booked in at the Blaine County Jail.
